Here's what people are saying about taking a retreat with Allison:
"Perfection (or should I say the continued aspiration to?).
What more can I say. My journey into yoga practice began with Steve Ross’ Inhale on The Lifetime Channel. From there it evolved into what I could find on YouTube. Mind you, this was a very infrequent occurrence, yoga was my wife’s thing. Then, last January my employer challenged it’s employees to try a “workout” for 30 days that was outside of their typical routine. So myself and my 2 chosen teammates decided to do yoga.
Allison Duckworth was one of the instructors at the studio we began practicing at, and one of the reasons my life has changed in such a dramatic way in just 12 months. Her teaching style, energy, vibe, and let’s be honest, soul, instill such a feeling of comfort and connection to the practice, your mat, and the lifestyle being a practitioner fosters. Ever since that fateful first month, I have frozen my regular gym membership and am singularly focused on yoga and continued growth through exploring as deeply as I can the practice of it, on and off the mat.
So, when Allison began advertising for her Costa Rica yoga retreat, I absolutely had to figure out how to gift it to myself. If I were to attempt to describe the experience, it would become a literal novel. Life-changing, making life-long connections with other humans and myself, great food, amazing location, well-thought-out activities that you could choose whether to participate in or not, and an amazing group of folks that speaks to Allison’s inherent qualities. She is obviously doing what she is meant to do in this life, and I am so grateful.
I can only hope that our paths remain parallel so I can continue to be a student of one of my favorite teachers, Allison Duckworth."
